Big Bowl (Asian) – Take Milwaukee North to Aptakisic Road, turn left, then take left at light into shopping area, veer left for restaurant.
Dunkin Donuts (coffee & stuff) – Busch west to Barclay, North on Barclay to Aptakisic, West on Aptakisic over RR tracks and take a left.
Jimmy’s CharHouse (steaks and other)– almost on NE corner of Milwaukee & Deerfield – behind our old building.
McDonald's to the South (closer) – Milwaukee Avenue south, past Deerfield Road, on your right.
McDonald's to the North (a little farther) – Milwaukee Avenue north, past Aptakisic, just past Rte. 22, on your left.
Red Robin (burgers, salads), Champs Sports bar, Starbucks – Take Milwaukee North to Aptakisic Road, turn left, then take left at light into shopping area, veer left for restaurant.
Walker Brothers (pancakes and other yummy stuff)– Milwaukee Avenue north, past Aptakisic, on the left side of street set back from road, turn left at light on Marriott, then left into restaurant.
Wendy’s – Busch Parkway west to Barclay, right (north) to Rte. 22 (Half Day Road), left (west) over the tracks approx. ¼ mile and shopping center will be on your right.
Yen-Yen (Chinese) – same as Wendy's
Grocery Store (Dominick’s) – Busch Parkway west to Barclay, right (north) to Rte. 22 (Half Day Road), left (west) over the tracks approx. ¼ mile and shopping center will be on your right.
Long Grove shopping and historic district / some restaurants – Busch Parkway west to Barclay, right (north) to Aptakisic, left (west) to Rte. 83, left (south) about 1 block to Robert Parker Coffin Road, right (west) approx. 1 mile into Long Grove district.
Northbrook Court (indoor mall) – Milwaukee Avenue South to Lake Cook Road, go East, over toll way until mall on right. (approx. 7 miles)
Westfield Hawthorn Square (indoor mall) – Milwaukee Avenue north, approx. 4 miles to Rte. 60, NW corner, other outdoor shopping on other cornersspan>
Wal-Mart – Milwaukee south (right) down to Lake Cook Road, right (west) a couple of miles, on the left side.
Also a McDonalds, Sam’s Club, Jewel, Target, Boston Market, IHOP, Staples, Lou Malnotti’s Pizza – are found in same general area.
Forest Preserve (Half Day Woods, along the Des Plaines River - Milwaukee Avenue north, past Aptakisic, past Rte. 22 (Half Day Road), keep going past Ernie’s Towing. Will be on your right
Library- Nice quiet place to read or do paperwork. Busch Parkway west to Barclay, right (north) past Rte.22 (Half Day Road), red brick and green glass building straight ahead on Old Half Day Road.
Movie theater, including IMAX – Take Milwaukee North to Aptakisic Road, turn left, then take left at light into shopping area, veer to right for theaters.
Post Office Busch Parkway west to Barclay, right (north) to Rte.22 (Half Day Road), left (west) to Schelter Rd., left (south) about 1 block; post office on left side.
