SURGICAL SERVICES

Surgical Referral Service is the largest veterinary surgical practice in the Chicagoland area. Our 4 board certified surgeons have many years experience handling complicated surgical cases. We work hand in hand with primary care veterinarians to provide comprehensive care in a comforting and compassionate environment. Many veterinarians rely on us to help solve complex, surgical problems. While we are capable of handling any surgical case, some of the more common services we provide include:

Orthopedic surgery
Our orthopedic surgeons have many years of experience in the diagnosis and treatment of orthopedic conditions in dogs and cats. Our inventory of orthopedic implants and state-of-the-art equipment assures that we can provide the most beneficial treatment possible.

  • Stifle joint problems
    • All of our surgeons are certified to perform TPLOs (tibial plateau leveling osteotomy)
    • We are leaders in trochleoplasty technique for luxating patella.

  • Hip dysplasia
    • We are certified to perform PennHip evaluation
    • We perform pubic symphysiodesis in puppies. We routinely perform total hip prostheses.
    • Triple Pelvic Osteotomy

  • Abdominal and thoracic mass removals
  • Feline fibrosarcoma

Emergency Surgery
Our surgeons are always on call for your emergency needs. Our surgical staff in combination with our internal medicine and critical care unit will attend to the critical medical and surgical care of your patients.
