SERVICES
TheraPET Wellness Center provides services for holistic care and physical rehabilitation. Our mission is to restore function and quality of life by providing your patients access to the latest technological advances in restorative care and pain management. Our state-of-the-art facility provides therapies for your patients with chronic, difficult to treat or non-responsive conditions such as:
- Arthritis, intervertebral disease, and central nervous system disorders.
- Postoperative pain management and physical rehab
- Chronic or non-responsive illnesses such as epilepsy, immune-mediated disorders, endocrine disease, inflammatory bowel disease, asthma, renal disease and incontinence
- Dermatological disorders such as allergies, demodectic mange and lick granulomas
As with the other services at Veterinary Specialty Clinic, patients will be seen by referral only. Drs. Julie Mayer and Barbara Royal will be available for consultations. The initial consultation will help to determine the means of complimentary care that will be most beneficial.
These therapies may include:
- Acupuncture
- Chiropractic
- Herbology
- Nutrition
- Hydrotherapy
- Electrostimulation therapy
- Therapeutic ultrasound and massage
- Treadmill/passive range of motion exercises
- Physical therapy and rehabilitation
We are also introducing a unique treatment called pulsed signal therapy (PST) that consists of a signal transmitted into the joint to promote the repair of damaged cells thus reducing pain and improving the pet’s quality of life. PST is an effective means of treating osteoarthritis, tendonitis, rheumatoid disease, musculoskeletal injuries and vertebral and hip pain. It is a non-invasive treatment used in cases where surgical options have failed or are not an option. This treatment has proven to relieve pain and increase mobility.
We look forward to working closely with you to develop a comprehensive and effective treatment protocol for your patients.
