VSC Emergency and Critical Care is dedicated to providing compassionate care for your pet, whether it is during a middle-of-the night emergency, hospitalization in our ICU, or simply an after-hours, holiday, or weekend medical need that cannot wait until your regular veterinary clinic is open again. All of our veterinarians are experienced in emergency and critical care medicine, and we strive to provide the highest level of care when your pet needs it most.

Serving as a vital link to the array of specialists here at the Veterinary Specialty Center, VSC Emergency and Critical Care is often the first team of caregivers that your pet will meet when referred from your primary veterinarian to one of our surgeons or internists for an urgent medical need. Having responsibility for patients requiring intensive care overnight or during the weekend, we also enable the Veterinary Specialty Center to provide comprehensive care 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. A licensed veterinarian is always on duty, along with a superb team of veterinary technicians and assistants.

We earnestly hope that your four-legged friend never needs our services, but we understand the anxiety that arises when your pet does need emergency or critical care. Your pet will be evaluated immediately upon its arrival by one of our experienced triage technicians, and one of our veterinarians will educate you about your pet’s condition and help you understand the treatments or diagnostic procedures he or she will need. At VSC Emergency and Critical Care we all share your love for animals, and we understand how you feel when one of your pets is in distress. Our goal is always to care for your animal with skill, speed, and compassion, and to see him or her back on the road to health again.
