SERVICES Midwest Veterinary Dermatology Center, LLC was established in 1998 with the merger of two existing dermatology practices.
Our practice is dedicated to a combination of the best patient care, client education and personal service. A variety of cases are referred to our office including allergies, ectoparasites, skin infections (bacterial and fungal), endocrine disorders, dermal manifestations of metabolic problems, congenital and keratinization disorders, as well as immune-mediated conditions and skin cancer. These very diverse conditions may present with similar symptoms. Differentiating between these conditions often requires specialized training. Our goal is to perform the necessary diagnostics for each of these conditions to enable us to treat them appropriately. We strive to identify and treat the underlying problem as well as to alleviate the symptoms that may develop.
Our receptionists and nurses have very diversified veterinary-related experience. They look forward to combining their abilities with the doctors to make your experience at our office as pleasant as possible.
As with humans, disorders of the skin in pets can be chronic in nature and we strive to form a bond of trust with our clients to enable us to care for your pet as long as necessary. We will keep your primary care veterinarian (referring practice) informed in a timely manner of all treatments prescribed or lab work performed through our office. Our goal is to provide a coordinated team approach to all aspects of your pet’s care.
Our exam and procedure hours are by appointment only. We return non-emergency calls during mid-day breaks and after appointment hours. If you have an emergency during our office hours, we will make every attempt to return your call as soon as possible. If the emergency is after hours, please contact your primary care veterinarian or the emergency center they recommend, so that your pet may receive immediate care.
