What inspired you to become a veterinarian: No specific point of inspiration. My family always had a variety of pets and I have always loved science and medicine - never really considered any other career choice.

What do you like most about veterinary medicine: I love saving the life of a very critical patient and I enjoy interacting with owners while patient's are in the hospital. My favorite part is getting positive updates from owners after the pet goes home!

What are your special interests in veterinary medicine: I love all aspects of emergency medicine and surgery. It's hard to pick one area - specific/particular interest in sepsis and trauma patents.

Interests outside of veterinary medicine:  Horseback riding, hiking, snowboarding, spending time with my husband and family.

Family Pets: Two dogs Bogart (large mixed breed) & Kaia (Siberian Husky). Also one cat names Rastus.
