Imaging and Radiology
Amazing technology allows us to use advanced imaging to aid in the diagnosis of your pet. The Imaging Center for Animals can see just where the problem is without putting your pet through invasive procedures through the use of:
• Ultrasound
• X-ray
• Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
• Computed Tomography (CT)
• Nuclear Imaging
• Fluoroscopy
All of our images are digital which means that we can share them with your family veterinarian right away, helping us to use a team approach in the treatment of your pet. We are also able to use these modalities to aid in the treatment of various conditions. Some of these procedures and treatments include:
• Embolizations of portosystemic shunts
• Arterio-venous malformations
• Chemoembolizations
• Stents (tracheal, urethral, and vascular)
• Guided biopsies
• Portograms to evaluate vascular anomalies
• I-131 therapy for hyperthyroidism
By combining the latest advances in technology with our extensive experience in both diagnostic and interventional radiology, we aid in the diagnosis of even the most elusive diseases. We work closely with each of our other departments to provide the best treatment options for your pet.
