Improving the bond between animals and the people who love them
“I became a veterinarian because I wanted to preserve and improve the strong bond and relationship that animals and their humans share. Our pets are important to us – they enhance our lives immeasurably. To be able to help keep them healthy, to give them the best quality of life, is by far the best part of my work as a veterinary surgeon.”
Leading-edge techniques for better outcomes
“I provide all aspects of veterinary surgery but I’m most interested in the latest surgical techniques and how they can improve patient care. Minimally invasive techniques like arthroscopy, laparoscopy and thoracoscopy help us achieve good outcomes while minimizing stress, postoperative pain and recovery time for our patients. I enjoy staying current in my specialty and always offer our referring veterinarians and patients the most up-to-date, effective treatment available.”
Life outside veterinary medicine…
“In my free time, I enjoy life with my wife and kids, exploring all that Chicagoland has to offer. We’re active in our synagogue, children’s charities and our kids’ soccer club. When I can, I like to ski and I always make time to read and listen to music. And even though I’ve been here since 1994, I still follow my New York sports teams, which I trust my Chicago friends and colleagues will not hold against me.”
