Eddie

I would like to send a very special “Thank You” to the entire Veterinary Specialty Center establishment for the superb care they gave Eddie Wisch when he was in the worst shape possible.

Eddie came into all of our lives on Saturday, July 30th 2011 after being brought into a shelter. He had been hit by a car days prior and was found in a yard unable to move, eat or drink.

Because of my passion for dogs my sister & I rushed him to my vet who informed me his femur was severely broken and that he was in shock from the pain. They referred me to Grayslake Emergency Vet where I was told a surgeon would not be in until Monday. Thankfully Grayslake called VSC to give them a heads up that we were on our way.

My 1st encounter was with Dr. Matt Schnabl and I cannot thank him enough for everything he did to help this little guy that we only knew for one hour. His compassion, dedication and expertise is just amazing and I will forever be grateful. I’d like to send a very special thank you to Eddie’s surgeon Dr. David Silliman who is just a wonderful person who also took great care of this little guy not only during his surgery but for the week after as well. Dr. Schnabl & Dr. Silliman kept me well informed of Eddie’s condition on a daily basis and the thought of not having to stress about his well being during the period where my Grandfather passed away will never be forgotten. Thank you to all of the techs and all other staff members who kept him clean, happy, spoiled, and brought him outside.

Eddie has touched all of our lives in a very special way and I can’t express my gratitude enough for giving him a second chance at a somewhat normal life. I am touched to hear that he won the hearts of everyone there and I cannot wait to bring him back for a visit. I feel like all of you are family and look forward to seeing you throughout the years. It’s only day one of him being home with me but he has already made friends with our other three dogs: Vinnie, Honey & Reggie. I will send pictures soon.

Thank you again for all that you do & for all that you continue to do to help animals in need.

Love,
Eddies Family
