Veterinary Specialty Center is a locally and privately-owned, multidisciplinary animal hospital that offers specialty services, emergency, critical care, and rehabilitation services. Management maintains a good relationship with employees, taking into consideration their concerns and suggestions to expand services by investing in state-of-the-art medical equipment to improve medical procedures and outcomes. Constant strides have also been made to expand employee programs and benefits that are both comprehensive and industry firsts.
Education & Outreach
Most of the time, animals come to Veterinary Specialty Center when they’re sick or injured. Community outreach programs give VSC employees the chance to meet healthy pets, their families, and teach pet owners about safety and preventative care. VSC also hosts the largest free CE conferences and events in the Midwest for technicians, veterinarians, practice managers, and owners.
Diversity & Dedication
At Veterinary Specialty Center, people from vastly different backgrounds bond over their passion for veterinary medicine and their desire to provide top-quality care for their patients. In this open, welcoming work environment, employees can feel free to be themselves and learn from their co-workers, while striving for inclusion and working as a team.
It Takes a Team
Veterinary Specialty Center fosters a supportive environment of collaboration and growth. Cross-departmental consultations give doctors a “big picture” perspective on patients with complicated health issues as they work on a diagnosis. New veterinary technicians are trained and mentored by senior technicians to learn how to manage cases and communicate with clients. Experienced technicians are empowered with more autonomy and encouraged to actively participate in patient care decisions in collaboration with our doctors. VSC also heavily invests in the career advancements of the team through providing tuition reimbursement, mentorship, and leadership opportunities.
