Colorado State University College of Veterinary Medicine

Rotating Internship:

VCA Veterinary Care, Alburquerque, New Mexico

Avery Rowlison de Ortiz first thought about becoming a veterinarian when she was 5-years-old and her family veterinarian suggested that it may be a good career for her. She realized it was a good path because she wanted to help people with their pets. She worked as a surgical nurse for a local veterinarian the year before she went to vet school and fell in love with surgery as a specialty. Through surgery, she could help people and their pets be together for as long as possible.
