Rotating Internship:

VCA Petcare East Veterinary Hospital in Santa Rosa, CA

Surgical Internship:

Sierra Edelsohn became interested in medicine at an early age because her father is a human anesthesiologist. Because she had a strong affinity for animals, veterinary medicine was an easy choice for her. Growing up with an anesthesiologist sparked her interest in pain management as well as striving towards a multi-modal approach to alleviate discomfort in all of its forms. She enjoys the physical hands-on approach to veterinary medicine. She loves that surgical cases can be both routine and complex. In the end, it’s about taking the steps toward improving and preserving a patient’s quality of life.
