Board Certified in Neurology by the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine

Dr. Comito joins the VSC team of specialists with several years of experience in veterinary medicine. She understands and values communicating all details to clients so that they are able to make an educated decision that best fit their needs.

How did you become interested in specializing in neurology?

I chose neurology as my specialty because it provides a good blend of both medical and surgical cases…it’s the best of both worlds! Along with this, I was fortunate to have a wonderful mentor to guide me through vet school and help me find what I love to do.

What is your philosophy of patient care?

The most important aspect of my job is communicating with families and striving to provide the best healthcare and quality of life for their pets.

What motivates you?

My goal when working with clients is to provide and review all available options. I want to make sure families are able to make educated decisions and provide the best quality of care for their pets.

What do you like to do outside of work?

When I’m not at VSC, I enjoy watching sporting events (especially basketball). I also enjoy reading and spending time with my family and friends.

This was our second visit in three years for serious issues with our dog due to disc problems. Everyone at this facility was outstanding. Dr. Comito and Dr. Schnabel were very easy to talk to and helped us understand all the issues going on with our dog. Gracey is now doing much better and we would highly recommend this facility to anyone who loves their pet and gets into a crisis situation as we did.

I have had a wonderful, stress-reducing, very friendly experience from start to middle (as I am not finished with treatment yet). As much as this could have been a very traumatic experience, Dr. Comito and all the nurses have been very patient and understanding with me, and I feel that they took the time with not only me but with Ballzy also. Their bedside manner is exceptional and would be something you would expect in a people hospital. I have already recommended a friend 4 days later when her dog Sinder fell off the balcony. They had a wonderful experience also. Thanks for everything that you all do and keep up the great work and personal care for all. I can’t be more grateful. Thanks again!

This was my first time at your facility and everything from the outside to the inside waiting areas to the people was fantastic! Very professional, on time, reviewed prior info that my vet sent. Just wonderful, I cannot say enough great things!

I could not have had a better experience. The Neurology Tech, Amelia, personally supervised my pet’s treatment and kept me continually informed. The communication protocols of the VSC are superior. Dr. Comito is excellent. My chocolate lab is on the mend. Dr. Comito has set up an excellent follow-up plan. I feel completely confident that my dog will totally recover. I have only the highest regard for the doctors and staff of the VSC.
