“My enthusiasm for veterinary medicine started when I worked with an amazing team of veterinarians at the National Institute of Health (NIH). I realized then, how passionate I was about animal welfare, and how much I loved working with animals on a daily basis. This kick-started my life-long passion for veterinary medicine.
My passion for surgery started during my clinical year in veterinary school. I enjoy the collaborative efforts of surgery, where the surgery team, the client, and other departments/veterinarians can play a role in the success and outcome of the patient. Surgery is also one of those specialties that can achieve immediate resolution of clinical signs in patients. As I started practicing in other specialty clinics, I fell in love with the creative yet challenging aspects of surgery and could not see myself doing anything else.”
