Have to give a HUGE shout out to VSC for taking such amazing care of my dog, Ike. Ike had previously had a successful TPLO surgery here a couple years ago and when I learned that he may have osteosarcoma in January, I brought him back to see Dr. Robbins. I was able to get an appointment right away and Dr. Robbins was very compassionate, outlined easy to understand next steps and was super patient with all of my questions. After the biopsy and diagnosis confirmation, Dr. Robbins again clearly explained all of the treatment options. I decided to have Ike’s leg amputated and start the ELIAS Immunotherapy treatment. Prior to the big day, Dr. Feinmehl called to explain how the ELIAS treatment would work and to my understanding, Ike was the first dog to go through this at this facility. Dr. Feinmehl was also very compassionate and understanding of all my questions/concerns. She clearly laid out the ELIAS treatment plan, including potential risks, side effects and how they would monitor Ike during the treatment process. Ike was so well taken care of by all of the staff at VSC during his amputation and the several weeks of treatments that followed. He is always so excited to see Leanne, Tamar and all the other amazing staff at VSC. The front desk staff are also amazing and incredibly understanding of the stress many clients are under when bringing their pets in for various scary things. There was one woman in particular, whose name I didn’t get, that always asked how I was when we came in and came over to say hi to Ike, offer water and even brought him a mat to lay on in the waiting room. During his overnight treatment, they sent me pictures of Ike so I could see how he was. Bottomline, there are wonderful, highly skilled, caring people that work here and I’m beyond grateful for all they have done for Ike. I felt like we were genuinely cared about, heard and that Ike’s quality of life was #1 always. Today we got the good news that Ike has no metastasis and we are back to our daily runs. Thank you so very very much, VSC!!
