My journey through veterinary medicine has not always been a straight path. I have always had an analytical mind and desire to help others, so I decided to pursue veterinary medicine as a career after a non-traditional undergraduate degree. While I pursued veterinary school, I had the unique privilege of working at Veterinary Specialty Center in multiple departments – including the Ward, Surgery, and Radiology. This experience gained during my burgeoning veterinary career was invaluable in helping me become the veterinarian I am now and further strive to be. I am excited my path has led me to assume my new role at Veterinary Specialty Center in helping the pets and families of the area.
Throughout my education and early career, I have developed a passion for small animal radiology. Incorporating imaging modalities to help aid and inform differentials, diagnoses, and treatments is a crucial step in our patient’s care – a step I have come to thoroughly enjoy. The radiology department at Veterinary Specialty Center has done so much for my education and growth, personally. I look forward to continuing my journey forward this year with the crucial role they play in helping our patients in mind.
