“I have always been closely connected with animals, and this was true from a young age. My motivation to pursue veterinary medicine was driven largely in part my by first cat (Baby) who came into my life when I was four years old. The care I give to each of my patients is inspired by the care I wish I could give Baby if I were her veterinarian today. She passed away shortly after I moved out for college. I sought to honor her memory and through my college I volunteered to walk dogs at Chicago Animal Care and Control. The volunteer team was led by a group of inspirational women who also ran the Pre-Veterinary club. They encouraged me to learn more about veterinary medicine and through them I knew I found both my people and my passion.

I am a hands-on learner and throughout my veterinary training I have always been drawn to procedures. Surgery is the perfect blend of my personal hobbies (power lifting and knitting), where I can use my strength in orthopedic procedures and my dexterity in delicate tissue handling. I aspire to serve my patients and their families through the care that I can provide with my own hands.”
