Drop offs are worked into the surgeon’s schedule. Therefore, an exact time cannot be provided. Once your pet is evaluated, the surgeon will contact you to discuss their findings and recommendations.

Procedures are performed throughout the day and into the evening. The starting times are determined based upon multiple factors including case’s urgency, required diagnostics and equipment availability. The first procedure will begin after the surgeon is finished seeing appointments. A member of our staff will notify you when surgery is about to begin and the surgeon will call with an update of your pet’s progress once the procedure is finished. If you have concerns, you may call for an update at any time. On rare occasions, it may be necessary to delay the procedure to the following day, but our team will let you know if this becomes necessary.

The advantage of drop off appointments are that they are worked into the surgeons schedule whenever possible. Typically, the surgeon is in a scheduled appointment or performing a procedure during your drop off time. Therefore, meeting the surgeon during drop off is not possible. If you prefer to meet the surgeon first, please schedule an initial consult instead of a drop off appointment.

You may call to obtain patient updates at any time. Please understand that veterinary nurses are not able to discuss test results or a diagnosis with you. Veterinary nursing rounds are scheduled between 8:00 and 8:30 in the morning and evenings, so calling during this time may result in the client service team taking a message.

For elective procedures, discharge appointments may be scheduled same day. For all other procedures, a member of our team will contact you to coordinate a time for discharge.
