Meet Our February Employee of the Month!

Colette Dibasilio Cvt

February Core Value: ❤️ Love ❤️

We are excited to recognize this month’s Employee of the Month, who truly embodies our core value of Love in the veterinary field.

Colette is affectionately described as being the "mother of the day shift" and the "life of the department" in ECC. She is always kind, patient, and understanding, whether she's working with a client, a patient, or a coworker. She consistently advocates for her patients, allowing even the most nervous pets to feel a little more comfortable. She is encouraging of her coworkers and always brightens the mood when she's around.

Colette demonstrates her dedication to VSC each day by always staying busy, whether she's cleaning or helping another team member. Most importantly, she shows her love and dedication by providing support to her team, especially by reminding and helping all coworkers get a break.

Congratulations to Colette DiBasilio 🌟

Coming Up: Employee of the Month March & April

March and April’s core value of the month is Giving Back!

"We recognize that participating in activities that support our community enriches the lives of our staff. While giving back is important for many reasons, we find that it saves resources for our community, meets critical, local needs, and translates into better physical and mental health for those who give their time, energy, and support."

Let us know who exemplifies this core value the most throughout our hospital, and let us know why you think your nominee should be the winner!

Anniversaries

The Anniversary Subcommittee is an extension of the Rewards and Recognition Committee and is dedicated to honoring the longevity of our amazing employees. We host a quarterly, hospital-wide luncheon to highlight individuals who are celebrating milestone anniversaries (5 years, 10 year, 15 years, 20 years, etc.). Can't wait to see you there!

Food Pantry Project

VSC's Food Pantry Project is a year-round initiative to help lighten the load of many in our community. Our mission is to make home-cooked meals feel accessible, realistic, and empowering. The cards below will be updated monthly with recipes that prioritize affordability without sacrificing comfort, creativity, or dignity.

HOW IT WORKS:

  1. Grab a recipe card
    • Physical cards located in KK's cubicle
  2. Buy the shelf-stable ingredients
    • Visit your local Dollar Tree/Dollar Store to purchase
  3. Bring everything back to VSC
    • Place all items in ONE bag, including recipe card
    • Tie bag securely
    • Place bag in brown box located in KK's cubicle

The R&R Committee will deliver donations to local food pantries once (or twice 😉) per month.
