My decision to become a veterinarian was deeply influenced by my upbringing and the time I spent with my family in Mexico. Growing up, I was exposed to traditional food practices, farm animals, and the care of our family dogs and cats. I often found myself questioning why certain practices were done and whether there were better, safer, or more compassionate ways to care for animals. That curiosity grew into a genuine passion for understanding animal health, advocating for improved standards of care, and helping bridge the gap between tradition, education, and modern veterinary medicine. Over time, those early experiences shaped my desire to become a veterinarian and to be someone who could provide knowledge, guidance, and high-quality care to both animals and the families who love them.

My greatest area of interest is minimally invasive soft tissue surgery. I am drawn to the precision, innovation, and problem-solving that surgery requires, while also appreciating how minimally invasive techniques can improve patient comfort, reduce tissue trauma, and shorten recovery times. I find it exciting to be part of a field that continues to evolve with new technology and advanced techniques, allowing us to provide excellent surgical care in a way that is less invasive for our patients.
