Area of interest
Internal Medicine
From a young age I have always envisioned myself being a veterinarian. I decided to peruse this career out of a deep devotion to the human-animal bond and a passion for medicine. I have always been fascinated by the ability of animals to improve the quality of human life; I believe human welfare is intrinsically entangled with the welfare of animals. Ultimately, I view it as a profound privilege to protect that connection as a veterinarian.
My main area of interest is small animal internal medicine. What I love most about this specialty is the intricate detective work; it allows us to understand pathology on a deeper level, uncovering how different organ systems are connected and contribute to a patient’s presenting complaint. This insight enables me to develop truly personalized treatment plans for each patient. Internal medicine also allows for rewarding patient follow-up, giving me the opportunity to build enduring partnerships with families throughout their pet’s care.
