Why did you choose a career in veterinary medicine?

My love for animals has always been the driving force behind my career, as well as my inspiring mentors who have shaped and guided me along the way.

What sparked your passion to focus on surgery?

I was drawn to surgery because I love working in a collaborative team, performing life-saving procedures, and constantly challenging myself to improve my technical skills.

What are some of the biggest challenges in your area of expertise?

One of the toughest challenges is when, despite all the effort and dedication from the entire team, the outcome doesn’t always match what we hoped for.

Is there a particular case that has inspired you?

I’ll always remember a complex case where a patient almost didn’t make it, but thanks to the combined efforts of anesthesia, surgery, critical care, nurses and incredibly dedicated owners, we were able to give that dog a second chance at life.

What do you like to do outside of work?

Outside of work, I love spending quality time with close friends and family — whether that’s traveling, hosting dinners, or simply sharing good food. I also enjoy cooking, pottery, and painting as creative outlets.
