“I decided to become a veterinarian to help harness my passion for helping animals in need. I’ve always had a drive to help others and veterinary medicine was the perfect way for me to focus all of my best qualities and put them to good use.

Surgery in particular has always interested me in that I have a passion for anatomy and orthopedics. I love having a problem then having a systematic approach to solving or getting closer to answers. Surgery also pushes me to think outside the box as most cases don’t read the textbook and typically need unique thinking to come to a solution.”
