Zoo Companion Animal and Emergency & Critical Care
My childhood is filled with memories of my family and me spending time in nature—hiking, birding, and exploring. The early appreciation for wildlife and conservation evolved into a passion for wildlife and exotic animal medicine, ultimately inspiring my decision to pursue a career in veterinary medicine.
Throughout veterinary school, I remained deeply invested in wildlife and zoological companion animal medicine, while my interest in emergency medicine and critical care steadily grew. I found myself drawn to solving complex clinical problems, thriving in fast-paced environments, and finding fulfillment in supporting patients and their families during stressful and emotional times. I am beyond excited to develop skills and perspectives that are transferable across species and can guide me to provide high-quality care to all patients. I look forward to a year of continued learning, professional growth, and contributing to patients’ improvement!
