“I’ve always known that I’ve wanted to be a veterinarian. Medicine was always prevalent in my family but some of my earliest and favorite memories involved animals. Growing up in South Florida, there was always plenty of opportunity to explore outside igniting my interest in all the creatures that crawled, flew, slithered, and swam.

My desire to become a surgeon was inspired by my father. Being raised by an oral and maxillofacial surgeon, sparked my interest for all things surgical-specifically seeing the pain relief and comfort that procedures brought his patients. I would one day like to be the surgeon that improves the quality of life of their patients.”
