“I decided to become a veterinarian when I was young, as is common with many veterinarians. I realized how rewarding helping those who could not help themselves was and I wanted to spend my life doing that. Animals give so much to us and are dependent on us to take care of them and I decided to make a career giving back to them. 

I worked in specialty practice, specifically surgery after I graduated from my undergraduate institution and fell in love with surgery then. I realized I could truly fix animals and that is exactly what I want to do from here on out in my career!”
