Emergency and Critical Care

“I decided to become a veterinarian after a lot of trial and error. I have always loved animals, and worked with them from middle school through undergraduate in many capacities, starting as a zoo volunteer and pet store worker, and working as a dog trainer, veterinary assistant, and even pet food representative. It was not until I started working with non-traditional species (birds, reptiles, etc) and emergency cases that I decided that I wanted to pursue a career as a veterinarian.

Since then, I have solidified my desire to pursue a specialization in emergency and critical care upon completion of my internship year. My interests also include animal behavior, non-traditional species, and end-of-life care, all of which I want to eventually incorporate into how I practice medicine.”
